Course Information

The full day event will cover:

Opening Remarks John Flucke, DDS
The chief dental editor of Dental Products Report and dentistry’s “technology evangelist,” Dr. Flucke will open the program with an overview of the current trends in the CBCT market, and talk about how implementing the technology in your practice can boost your workflow and benefit your patients.

CBCT Imaging in the Dental Specialties Lisa Koenig, DDS, MS
Dr. Koenig, the author of Diagnostic Imaging: Oral and Maxillofacial, will discuss the differences between 2D and 3D dentistry, the clinical advantages of CBCT imaging, and how it can be used in endodontic cases, third-molar extractions, and even orthodontics. She will also discuss the liability issues associated with CBCT, radiation dosages, and how the technology impacts pathology and diagnosis.

CBCT: My Journey to Digital Enlightenment Kaveh Ghaboussi, DMD
The owner-dentist of Madison Smile Solutions in Madison, WI, Dr. Ghaboussi holds elite mastership in the American Dental Implant Association. He will share his story of what made him move toward 3D dentistry, how he integrated digital technology, and what impact it had on his practice. He will offer pointers on how to decide what products to buy and how to deal with any resistance from the staff, what education and training is required to transition to 3D dentistry, and—important to general dentists and specialists alike—how practitioners can pay for it.

Digital Workflow: Part 1 & Part 2 John Flucke, DDS

After the networking luncheon, Dr. Flucke will talk in depth about how to incorporate a digital workflow, giving personal examples of how he uses it in his own practice in third molar extractions and orthodontics, as well as how it has changed his practice and made him a better dentist. Dr. Flucke’s presentation about his own personal experiences with CBCT will conclude with a discussion about the technology’s applications and benefits, and how to use CBCT in diagnosis.
